Nintendo Direct will continue

Nintendo will continue making presentations straight to its fans.

The Nintendo Direct series kicked off under late president Satoru Iwata, and the executive's beautifully friendly demeanour and distinctive mannerisms made him a much-loved face of the company.

Although Iwata's torch has been passed, Nintendo intends to keep his initiatives alive.

"Nintendo Directs will continue," the company told IGN.

"But we have no details to provide now on who will be featured or the topics that will be covered.”

Iwata passed away in July this year and is greatly missed. Along with Nintendo Direct he was responsible for the wonderful Iwata Asks interview series, which similarly opened direct communication between the platform holder to its fans.
