Harvey Smith reveals the secrets hidden in Dishonored 2's E3 trailer

Bethesda Softworks has posted a video of co-creative director Harvey Smith explaining how elements of the trailer work in-game.

It may not give us any new footage, but this is still a very enlightening look at some of the new features of Dishonored 2.

As Smith explains, everything in the trailer will be achievable in-game: the Clockwork Mansion is part of a mission in which you'll be facing off against a former student of Sokolov.

The new enemies shown in the trailer are called clockwork soldiers, and they have cones of vision both in front and behind of themselves. They work on imported whale oil and are mostly owned by the aristocracy.

Later enemies in the game will be made of wood, and will have "a bird-like head".

The Dishonored sequel will continue the story of Emily Kaldwin. Players will have the choice of either playing as her or the original game's protagonist, Corvo Attano.

Dishonored 2 is due for release on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One during 2016. The original trailer is below.
