Six arrested in UK for using Lizard Squad's DDoS tool

Six UK residents have been detained by the National Crime Agency for purchasing the Lizard Squad's DDoS tool Lizard Stresser, and allegedly using the tool to disable servers and various websites.

The NCA said in a statement five of those detained ranged between the ages of 15 to 18 years old, per GI.biz.

More arrests could be made as 50 addresses are being visited by the government body. Those living at the residences "are linked to individuals registered on the Lizard Stresser website," but the NCA was quick to state its doesn't believe the individuals were part of the attacks.

Lizard Squad took responsibility for attacks on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live last year, and in July 2015, claimed responsibility for DDoS attacks on game servers for Planetside 2, Everquest, H1Z1, and others.
