The August PS Now update is light on games but heavy with possibility.

This month, streaming games service PlayStation Now extends to Vita and Vita TV in North America. Players can map the controls to suit their preferences, with the rear touchpad making up for the missing set of triggers - or serving as the bumpers, if you prefer.

In addition to this welcome news, Sony has added five new games to the service for August: God of War 3, Dynasty Warriors 8, MX vs. ATV Supercross, Bomberman Ultra and The Last Guy.

PS Now is also available for PlayStation 3 and PS4 as well as Sony's 2015 Smart TV range and some recent Samsung Smart TV models. It offers both ala carte rentals and an all-you-can-eat subscription package.

There are over 100 games available via PS Now. A free seven day trial is available.
