Total War: Warhammer video shows off Demigryph units

I feel like the Total War team has been waiting patiently for the day it could put a "part lion and part eagle" unit in the venerable strategy series.

Total War: Warhammer is getting its first in-engine trailer this week, and The Creative Assembly has elected to whet our appetite by showing off a few assets ahead of time.

This video focuses on the Demigryph, a kind of elite cavalry unit.

"Part lion and part eagle, these noble monstrous cavalry are ridden by only the most renowned knights of the Empire. Clad in ornate plate armour, their densely muscled frames enable them to thunder into combat, tearing their foes limb from limb and spreading fear among the enemy ranks."

Having spent umpteen years lovingly crafting historically accurate belt buckles and what not it must be something of a relief to cut loose with fantasy elements - although the team is no doubt trying to be as faithful as possible to Games Workshop source materials.
