Overkill's The Walking Dead "PayDay-esque" but in a "bigger world"

Overkill's The Walking Dead will be revealed soon, but in the meantime have a few crumbs of information.

The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman gave a panel at SXSW in which he made a few comments about Overkill's The Walking Dead.

"It will be Payday-esque," he said, according to Polygon.

"But I'm told it will be in a bigger world than Payday currently encompasses. They are going to be learning a lot of stuff from Payday that they will be incorporating into The Walking Dead game."

Kirkman confirmed that the game will be "online and interactive", which is 50% redundant (it's a co-op game; of course it's online) and 50% mysterious (why say "interactive" regarding a video game?) - or maybe just 100% redundant, I guess.

"PayDay is an online cooperative game correct? Yes. So it will be it will follow a similar approach. That's good news," Kirkman said.

Cue visions of a persistent online world. What a shame my wild theories are not facts.

Kirkman also said the "there will be announcements about that game very soon", which is great: ever since seeing that excellent teaser trailer I've been hanging out for this one.
