Gone Home console ports cancelled following Midnight City difficulties

Gone Home won't be made available to the console masses after all.

Indie hit Gone Home was announced for console release almost exactly one year ago, and we've heard absolutely nothing since then.

Turns out, that's because it's not happening: developer the Fullbright Company confirmed to Eurogamer that the ports have been cancelled.

"Our publishing deal with Majesco has ended, and the console version is not in active development," Fullbright's Steve Gaynor said.

Why? Well: Majesco's and its indie publishing arm, Midnight City, were both in very serious financial trouble at the end of last year. We haven't heard anything official, but it's likely both companies have seriously scaled back operations.

Neither company has been in touch since October last year, but we'll poke the corpse and see if it rolls over.

Fullbright has now refocused its efforts on new game Tacoma.
