According to the press release sent over by 2K, the studio will be led by LucasArts vet and Star Wars game franchise director Haden Blackman.

Blackman has won awards for video game writing for The Force Unleashed, he wrote the DC Comics’ Batwoman comic book series and is currently writing Elektra for Marvel Comics.

In a prepared statement, Blackman said the studio's ambition is to "create next-generation games that allow players to shape their own experiences."

"[This encompasses] the moment-to-moment gameplay, to the long-term impact on the world, characters and narrative," he said. "To realize this goal, we’re building proprietary technology and assembling a core team passionate about delivering mature experiences loaded with meaningful choices.”

Hangar 13 is based out of Novato, California.
