Super Smash Bros. 3DS moved 944,644 units day one in Japan 

Media Create has released its figures for September 8-14, and according to firm, Super Smash Bros. 3DS moved 944,644 units its first day in Japan.

The brawler's release also helped boost 3DS and 3DS XL sales week-over-week, with vanilla 3DS moving 7,967 (5,931) units and 3DS LL – 31,602 (23,624) units.

Nintendo announced earlier this week the game had moved over 1 million copies in two days.

The figure provided by Nintendo includes both retail and digital sales.
