No, Monster Hunter 4 isn't coming to Wii U

Don't get too excited.

Capcom has shot down rumours that Monster Hunter 4 is making the trip to Wii U.

Talk arose of a TV version of the latest in the series after a wall scroll was snapped at an event carrying the Wii U logo.

Nevermore. As reported by DualShockers, it's staying handheld-only.

"I't a misprint," said Capcom community chap, Yuri Arauj. "We're working on a proper message to difuse this, so we should have something more public and official out soon."

Monster Hunter 4 was released in Japan and Korea late last year for 3DS. A new version, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, is to release in Japan this December and will be followed by both US and European launches in early 2015.
