Ninja Theory releases trailer and early gameplay video for its canned game Razer

Ninja Theory revealed on Twitter recently that it had been forced to can the game it had been working on prior to Hellblade, which was revealed at gamescom last week. Now the English developer has released an 'Experience' trailer and early gameplay for the game, which was called Razer.

It shows players teaming up across multiple devices to try and retake Earth from an alien force known as 'The Beast.' It clearly would have been a completely co-operative experience, with some players using a tablet to issue commands from an aerial position, similar to Commander mode in Battlefield 4.

This early gameplay footage makes the game look like a co-op take on Ninja Theory's DmC.

These videos, along with concept art, design docs, etc. were used to pitch Razer to publishers, but Ninja Theory was unable to get anybody on board, and the game was canned. You can find out more about the project on Ninja Theory's Twitter account.
