PlayStation Now PS4 open Beta coming to North America July 31

PlayStation Now PS4 open Beta is coming to North America from July 31. It will be made available for PS3 from September, and on Vita and PlayStation TV by the end of the year.

It will also be made available on compatible Sony smart TVs. All you need is a DualShock 4, apparently.

The beta will provide access to over 100 PS games will be made available such as Dead Space 3, God of War Ascension, MGS: Ground Zeroes.

Rental duration and pricing will be announced at a later date. SCE is experimenting with short rental periods from as low as $3. and expects prices to top out at $20 - but publishers, including indies, will have the final say. Subscription packages will be offered eventually, too.

Vita will make out the best it seems, thanks to the integration of PS3 games and Remote Play adding substantially to its catalogue.

The service is also on its way to Europe and Japan, but no dates have been bandied about at this time.
