Saturday, 17th May 2014 18:26 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

PlanetSide 2 executive producer Clint Worley has posted the first off-screen look at the space MMO running on PlayStation 4.

The image was tweeted yesterday afternoon, with Worley stating the image was taken right before the new build. He also said the DualShock 4′s rumble “will add a ton to the gameplay.”

PlanetSide 2 will display at 1080p with a ‘smooth’ frame-rate on the console, Sony Online Entertainment has promised.

The game will also be presented during E3 next month, witch attendees able to get their hands on it.

PlanetSide 2 will be released on PS4 sometime during the first half of the year.

Thanks, Gematsu.

How will rumble ”add a ton” to gameplay? Is this 2004?

    Hah, good point ;)
Altough i never have used the “rumble” in any controllers ( just tested and occasionally used it), ds4 really impressed me with that feature. Ds3′s rumble was just ok, but ds4 makes it actually cool and fun to use, so one could say that it adds something to gameplay.

It’s the only F2P game that I think is worth a damn. Can’t wait for the PS4 version.

    War Thunder
    Heroes And Generals
    Team Fortress 2
    Tactical Intervention
World of Tanks (I have heard)
    Battlefield 2

And a lot of people love Dota 2 and League of Legends, not my types of games though.

@Panthro I’ll assume you’re thick as he clearly stated it as a subjective opinion.
