Ninja Theory to show off next-gen and unreleased titles at GDC Europe

Wednesday, 14th May 2014 20:13 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Ninja Theory co-founder Tameem Antoniades will show games developed at the studio which were never released for one reason or another alongside a new game in development for PS4 or Xbox One consoles.

HeavenlySword

Antoniades’s talk, “The AAA Indie Proposition” will feature footage of unreleased games such as the sequel to Kung Fu Chaos, and footage of an unannounced title

Last we heard, Ninja Theory was looking for an engine programmer for =“exciting new console projects.” Before that, the studio was known to be was working on new triple-A console title with shooting, melee and stealth mechanics running on Unreal Engine 4.

In July last year, screencaps taken from a video giving a overview of the studio appeared, showing a working-in-progress title.

We reached out to Ninja Theory at the time, and were told it was something it couldn’t “comment on”.

GDC Europe takes place alongside gamescom 2014 in Cologne, Germany August 8-13.

Shooting/Stealth and melee from NT? Good luck with that. That studio never impressed with the gameplay so good luck with that.

Whatever it is, I’m sure it’ll be hyped up the wazoo and the gaming public will get yelled at for not buying it, like we didn’t DmC and whatever that other title was the critics all had a hard-on for. The one with Andy Serkis as basically Goku from Dragon Ball and you couldn’t die during the platforming sections, which pretty much removes any stakes form platforming in the first place.

Heavenly sword had so much potential, I thought it was a great game, but with too many limitations.

I still wish they would work on that franchise and make it live up to it’s potential.

i did enjoy quite a lot all of their games, heavenly sword, enslave and DmC. They are improving with each game so the next one will be good IMHO.

About damn time. If there’s one creative dev out there, it’s NT. Others can suck it with their run of the mill bullshit.

One of the few devs that actually improves with every new title. Something you can’t say about most devs nowadays.

Enslaved did a Last of Us before Last of Us even came out.
So yeah, it is criminally underrated.

@Erthazus they’re getting better, but they’re still overhyped.
