Average of 60 Flappy Bird clones added to Apple's App Store every day - report

Flappy Bird may have been pulled from iTunes by Dong Nguyen almost a month ago, but the wave of clones that followed it doesn't seem to be letting up any. A new report finds that an average of 60 Flappy Bird clones are appearing on the iOS marketplace every day.

It follows our own report on the torrent of Flappy Bird clones appearing on digital marketplaces today.

PocketGamer reports that while looking at the last 300 Flappy Bird clones to launch on the App Store, it found that an average of 60 were added each day, with a peak of 69 on February 28, followed by 48 on March 1, 75 on March 2 and 49 on March 3.

Doing the maths, the site found that this equates to 2.5 clones added each hour, or one every 24 minutes if you prefer. It added that - at the time of writing - 24 new clones had appeared in the past hour.

They've also got a gallery of existing clones here.
