    Does the first white 360 count, or does it have to be the newer ones?

    They are trying so hard… What Sony is thinking about all this shit. I want to know.

    No idea what they’re supposed to do with the PS3′s, it’s not like they can resell them. A 100$ price cut would make more sense than this.

    Also to the commenters above, it’s not like XB1 desperately needs more sales. It’s not the WiiU we’re talking about here. Sales have been awesome on both sides, and MS sold far more consoles than i thought they would.

    Microsoft does not want your Xbox 360; it is the breadbasket. They want to take PlayStation 3 out of circulation and give its owners no alternative but their current gen console.

    If they did not have supply issues, Sony may have countered. One hundred dollars off a PlayStation 4 would be unbeatable.

    Damn, even Microsoft wants some Playstation now. Sony has one Hell of a Run ^^

    Nice @6!

    That said, it’s a smart move by MS. Why do a straight up price cut, when you can play it out like it’s a ‘deal’ you’re getting, and remove PS3′s from circulation.

    Absolutely despise how disgusting/aggressive this site’s comment section has become towards anyone that is not a Playstation fanatic. It’s all been in the last year too.

    Yeah business wise, but for the gaming community this is low as fuck. A lot of people are still on current gen.

    They are basically saying fuck current go to the next. Really good marketing, but at what price? I wouldnt have done it. They will have a lot of sales because of this.

    I can understand how they described this deal on their official site, but that email is unbelievable retarded. Ditch your ps3 ???? GTFO!

    That’s group mentality (sheep) for you. Some like Bieber, some like CoD and some like riding the Sony bandwagon. Not attacking anyone here personally, just a general observation of the internet since early 2013 especially.

    Microsoft next move: sending people door to door and at traffic lights begging people to purchase the XBoned.

    @Gekidami Nice one!

    As for the complaint of people favoring PS3 over Xbox… PS3 users have for years put-up with the Xbox kids. Also, Microsoft was not made many smart decisions lately.

    I personally would never trade any of my current-gen systems towards a next-gen system unless they are taking RROD systems. Also, if you could use multiple ones towards it. Com-on…. I know people with 3 dead 360s that would love to dump those.

    Of course the reason MS is doing this was leaked earlier today; they intend to ship off the PS3′s to Australia and use them as TitanFall servers.

    So Microsoft is telling me, a PS3 owner, to give them my PS3 and they give me an Xbox One. I’d much prefer my PS3 or a PS4, thank you.

    @23 – - hahahahaha That was great :)

    $100 for a PS3 is not a good deal, considering you especially have to pay another $399 for the Xbox One,.

    Love how people feel entire internet is biased, but they aren’t. Based on their “observation” of the internet (whatever that means).
    The irony of the year.

    399$ for a Xbone and my PS3′s gone or…
    399$ for a PS4 and my PS3′s still mine too.

    @Oh no its Colt (#3):

    Actually, that’s a great question. Hmm! I have this dead Xenon model sitting in my closet. I replaced it with a Jasper-chipset box when it RRoD’d the second time, and I haven’t looked back since. Maybe now it’s time to.
