Xbox One launch delayed to Q3 2014 in Nordic territories - rumour

Xbox One won't make it to Nordic territories until the shine has more than worn off 2014, according to anonymous whispers.

The rumour comes via Gamereactor, which cites trusted sources for word that Xbox One won't launch in Nordic territories - Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden - until the third quarter of 2014.

The site had no indication either way of whether other territories still waiting on the new console would experience a similar delay.

The rumour is particularly interesting as the site had word of Microsoft's limited European launch plans well ahead of announce.

Although Microsoft has confirmed the console is coming, Xbox One has not yet launched in Belgium, Holland, Russia or Switzerland in addition to the four countries listed above, despite hitting North America, the UK, PAL territories in Oceania and some western European countries on November 22.

The PlayStation 4 has gone live in these territories, although Sony is experiencing stock difficulties in many countries as it manages a wide-reaching launch. The Xbox One seems to be in good supply, possibly as a result of a tighter focus.
