Xbox One players have driven 90 million miles, killed 186 million enemies – other stats

Tuesday, 3rd December 2013 21:13 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Microsoft has announced some multiplayer stats for Xbox One exclusive titles.

Here’s the list of accomplishments over the last 11 days:

Over 3 billion zombies killed in “Dead Rising 3”
Over 90 million miles driven in “Forza Motorsport 5” – equal to 3,673 trips around the world
Over 186 million enemies defeated in “Ryse: Son of Rome”
Over 150 million combos in “Killer Instinct”

“We are humbled and gratified by the overwhelming response from our fans to the launch of Xbox One,” said CVP of Strategy and Marketing Yusuf Mehdi.

“Eleven days in, we are seeing record breaking sales and are selling every Xbox One we can make. Demand is far exceeding supply in the 13 countries we’ve launched and we are sold out at retailers around the world.

“We are seeing incredible usage from our engaged fans who have purchased Xbox One with more than 50 million hours spent on Xbox One games and entertainment.”

The firm said it is “working hard to meet consumer demand,” and are delivering consoles to retailers “as fast as possible this holiday season.”

God I hate these kind of stats, boring and completely meaningless.

I guess, they have to put these numbers out, cause they haven’t been able to match Sony console numbers.

About 120 miles was me so far, lol. Probably a couple hundred of the barbarians killed in Ryse, but I haven’t played Killer Instinct yet and haven’t picked up Dead Rising, so zero zombies killed, to my great shame.

Funny thing is, last week (after sony released their number of 1 mio consoles in the US) they released similar stats with ‘over one million Xbox Ones sold’. Now that Sony released their numbers after the European launch, which totales in over two million PS4s sold, they again release such stats, only this time without a number of sold consoles. The reason for this is obvious.

This is, in so many words Microsoft speechless.

Microsoft: “Never mind sales figures guys, look at how many limbs were chopped off, that’s what’s important right?….. RIGHT?!”

    Sony: “2.1 million sold.”

@5 how am I a troll, I own both a PS4 & Xbox One, I’m stating the fact that MS will not publish their console units sold, because it’s clearly not on par with PS4. If they where to post their numbers, sites would be running stories about how PS4 is outselling XB1.

This way it leaves people speculating.

Christ you guys just never give up.

What do you expect them to do? Come out and give stats about the PS4 and Sony? They’re still going to do marketing and stuff.

“Come out and give stats about the PS4 and Sony?” Not only would that be a day to remember, it would be one of the most bizarre and weird marketing techniques.

And besides you won’t hear PS4 fanboys complaining nor Xbox One fanboys either, so that leaves others.

It would probably be easier for MS to wait for the NPD reports before putting out this spin. Just stay silent until then. Hopefully they’ll take the silent route when Sony announces 3 million ps4s sold at the end of December and 4 million sold by the end of January.

does a person having knowledge of one console selling X number of units more than another really affect their decision of which console to purchase? gamers as bandwagon jumpers… i’d never have thought
maybe this is just flamebait for the fanboys?

fyi, since the launch i’ve played 0 hours on the new consoles and taken approximately 210 shits, most of which were not floaters…. /s

do you guys get a boner when you see the PS4 outsold the Xbone?

why the fuck do you care?

It all depends on what Microsoft or Sony thinks you care about. People want to know how many consoles they sold. Are stats as important? I can imagine fanboys asking on twitter how much did you guys sell etc. . but stats?
