UK game charts: FIFA 14 back on top, Forza in at five

Xbox One’s presence has dominated the UK charts this week, with ten games on Microsoft’s console entering the top 40. FIFA 14 has risen to the top once more.

We’ve got review round-ups for all the Xbox One launch titles here.

It follows the sale of over one million Xbox One consoles worldwide within its first 24-hours at market.

Eurogamer reports that Xbox One has outsold Xbox 360′s launch two-to-one, and that it accounted for 80% of all consoles sold in the UK last week.

FIFA 14 has dribbled its way back to the top of the charts with a 328% sales boost and Xbox One as the lead sale format. However, this is due to it being bundled with the ‘Day One’ edition console, so this isn’t exactly raw, individual sales.

This week’s chart goes as follows:

  1. FIFA 14
  2. Call of Duty: Ghosts
  3. Battlefield 4
  4. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
  5. Forza Motorsport 5
  6. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes
  7. Dead Rising 3
  8. Grand Theft Auto V
  9. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
  10. Ryse: Son of Rome
  11. Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition
  12. Skylanders Swap Force
  13. Need for Speed Rivals
  14. Just Dance 2014
  15. Disney Infinity
  16. Batman Arkham Origins
  17. WWE 2K14
  18. Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy
  19. Tomb Raider
  20. Pokemon X

Is it normal for COD to drop from 1st place so fast? Because I really REALLY hope it sales drop down enough that force Activision into at least trying something new with the formula.
(I know wishing bad sales is bad for devs who I respect and appreciate but if COD keeps sell as well as previous years, Activision will just order another same-old same-old COD for next year and the year after that)

Individual Format charts are interesting …

BF4 on X1 outsold CoD on X1. Though CoD X1 was in last weeks chart too :/. There are a few PS4 entries in there as well.

I’m guessing not as many bought cod on xboxone because it’s widely accepted to be the inferior version, I would imagine cod will retain top spot after UK ps4 release. Unless it really has been poorly received compared to previous cods
