Farming Simulator 14 has launched on iOS and Android. Don’t be sheepish, read all about it here.

In a press release sent to VG247 this afternoon, developer and publisher GIANTS Software confirmed that he game is now live on Google Play and the iOS App Store at £1.99.

The studio confirmed that the game is also coming to Windows 8 Phone, Microsoft Surface RT and Amazon Kindle before the year is out, then PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS in Spring, 2014.

In a statement, studio member Thomas Frey said of the launch, “GIANTS is pleased to commercially release our latest iteration of the most popular farm simulator in the world. We’ve put hours of research into creating an even more realistic experience with Farming Simulator 14 than with its predecessor and can’t wait for our fans to try it out today on iOS and Android, and soon on Windows 8 Phone, Microsoft Surface RT and Amazon Kindle.”

It’s a similar premise to the PC and full console versions of Farming Simulator, in which aspiring farmers can trundle over fields with a variety of tractors and sell produce down the local market.

Hope it sells ok, we need more games like this. It’s really quirky but it’s a delightful type of game in between all the stereotype games.
