Battlefield 4 knocks Pokemon X & Y off its perch on Media Create charts

Battlefield 4 has topped the Media Create charts in Japan, with 121,699 units moved on PS3 for its debut. Pokemon X and Y, which has been the top seller since it released on October 12, fell into second place. The DICE shooter only bested the Nintendo title by 6,069 units, making it rather close.

The Xbox 360 version of BF4 debuted at number 17 with 10,547 units moved, bringing the total unit sales for the title to 132,246 combined.

Other high profile offerings for the week included Rocksmith 2014 which sold 11,599 on PS3 and NBA 2K14 which moved 10,390 on the system.

Hardware sales were split down the middle four dropping in units sales and four increasing. Wii U, which came in fourth, moved 17,737 units which is a 21,065 unit drop compared to the previous week when it moved 38,802 units thanks to the release of Wii Party U.
