Classic Amiga dogfighting sim Wings is taking another pass at success, with crowdfunding campaign hoping to secure an HD remake.

Wings was a WWI flying combat game first released on Amiga in 1990. Original developer Cinemaware is seeking $85,000 to bring it back, with original missions, storyline and gameplay intact, but with new HD graphics, plus modern music, sound and controls.

Wings: Remastered Edition is intended for release on Android, iOS, Mac and Ouya, with a PlayStation Network release as a stretch goal.

There are loads of stretch goals and rewards on offer; check out the pitch video and wander over to Kickstarter for more information.

If all goes well, Cinemaware hopes one day to relaunch Defender of the Crown, It Came From The Desert, Rocket Ranger, Lords of the Rising Sun and The King of Chicago, among others.

I freakin loved this game back in the day as I did all Cinemaware games tbh.

If I remember rightly this had about 8 discs and you had to change them every time you took off and landed the damn plane! Not good…
