Mobile whales share as much as they spend - EEDAR

Mobile "whales" - those who spend big on microtransactions in free-to-play games - are important to developers in more than one way, according to a new report from research firm EEDAR.

As detailed in the infographic below, mobile whales "are more likely to tell their friends about a mobile game verbally and show them gameplay than non-spenders". This means they're more than just important revenue spikes; they help spread the word to more numerous low-spend customers.
