FIFA 14 executive producer details building and breaking EA Sports' annual juggernaut

FIFA 14 is out now on current-gen consoles and PC, and to find out what it takes to create, let alone innovate, a new entry in the series each year, VG247's Sam Clay had a chat with executive producer David Rutter.

According to Rutter, part of the innovation process is literally breaking the previous entry in the series. This year, the addition of new shooting mechanics and revamped physics and with PS4 and Xbox One versions, the Pro-Instinct mechanic and the new Ignite engine are just the latest editions.

There's more to it than that, though, so listen to the man himself speak about it.

FIFA 14 is out now on 3DS, PC, PS2, PSP, PlayStation 3, Vita and Xbox 360 and fans can start playing on both PS3 and Xbox 360 and then upgrade to the next-gen version when the consoles launch in November.

Your FIFA Ultimate Team travel with you along with Seasons progress, including trophy case and leaderboards as well as your Online Virtual Pro and accomplishments, level and XP.

FIFA 14 releases on PlayStation 4 in North America on November 15 and in Europe on November 29. The Xbox One version will be released in both territories on November 22.
