Disney has released five new themed Toy Boxes for Disney Infinity as free DLC.

Now available on iPad, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360, the new Toy Boxes are as follows:

  • Tron Highway – Race a Light Runner, battle enemies, navigate mazes and find hidden paths to get to the end of the broken highway.
  • Sugar Mania – Take King Candy’s Royal Racer for a sweet spin on a Sugar Rush-inspired racetrack.
  • Monster Rally – Pull off a series of tricks in a side-scrolling stunt show spectacular.
  • Cosmic Platformer – Compete with friends on an obstacle course that’s out of this world.
  • It’s a Trap! – Pay close attention to get through these puzzling rooms. Beware of traps and double jumping.

There’s a video of the Tron set below, but you can also check out footage of the Sugar Mania, Monster Rally, Cosmic Platformer and It’s a Trap sets. There are a few screens down below, too.

You can grab these new packs by selecting Toy Box from the main menu, then choosing Disney’s Toy Boxes in the Toy Box Share section. There’ll be new Toy Boxes every week, and Disney is hoping to start making sets based on player suggestions.

You can make and share your own Toy Boxes, and Disney has invited players to send their “best and most extreme” Toy Box sports arenas; on October 3, the company will choose the best and feature them. Just look for Submit to Disney in the Toy Box Share menu while paused.

We got the Wii version, because we don’t have a Wii U yet.

Not only do we not get the downloadable stuff, but we didn’t find out until we purchased two extra figures from the same universe for the kids, that the Wii version DOES NOT support 2 Player in the Adventures mode, only in the Toy Box. It doesn’t even say this on the box!

The wife and I have already made plans to upgrade to the Wii U version as soon as we get a Wii U. It looks unbelievable on that system…not so much on Wii. I mean, we were expecting pixelated graphics and all, but it really looks horrible, and the Wii version is missing so much stuff.

The Disney Infinity FB page claims this was all to make the thing fit on the disc.
