Wednesday, 18th September 2013 16:09 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Monster Hunter 4 was unsurprisingly the clear winner on the Media Create charts with 1,715,060 units moved in its first couple days. This figure is slightly lower than the numbers quoted by Famitsu, which stated the game moved 1.875 million copies in its first two days.

Regardless of which company has the most accurate figures, the game sold massively already and helped 3DS LL sales spike from 60,077 units the week prior to 236,700 units moved. The older 3DS model also saw a huge spike it sales moving 40,092 units compared to 19,114 the week prior.

    @4 what for the 3DS? It’s not even in the same market! I assume you think the PC market is going to die off too? You do understand that companies can survive in the same universe without going out of business, yes?

    @5 no, the 3ds are coming to an end, it is being replaced by the 2ds as we speak(cheaper cut down version). when the psvita2000 and psvitatv arrive, it will kill off the nindentos ds marked fast. nindentos will die off very quick, i can promise you that.

    Probably over 2 million with eshop sales included…

    @8 – Yeah that’s what I was thinking!

    I wonder if you type that with a serious face?

    @8/9
    Yep.

    Point: As expected Monster Hunter 4 + 3DS rules the chart, i would say its all good on that side which it is but then i look at Wii U. The amazing averages out the poor and that equals whatever you want it be.
