The issue with Swtor is not Giving away droids to make gamers happy.
It is not about trying to somehow retain customer base whther casual or hardcore.
It is not about the franchise or IP itself per se.

The issue are or at least were when I bought the game and went all way up for various characters:
    1) Too much repetition between class, gameplay style/type trying too much to be all balanced, while truly, asymmetric balance would have been better or best to make each class shine more or truer.
    2) Design are cool except target audience for some high end class just do not understand Star Wars universe and profoundly go after 8~12 years old wannabe “cool looking”.
    3) PvP are cool but again map level designs are not meant for a need to be a/many class(es). You could all be boba fett and still win a round (well kind of) but my point is that PvP was pretty dull except maybe for throw the ball.

Though I truly wish they learn from all mistakes clearly yelled on forums by quiet a lot of people to make a STWOR II that would rage on for decades.
Beside WTF guys bring us some PRE SOE mechanics, don’t be scared gamers loved it.
