PAX Prime indie showcase titles include Towerfall, Owlboy

This year’s PAX 10 is packed with terrific indie games which you can check out at PAX Prime next month.

The ten games chosen for PAX Prime’s indie showcase, the PAX 10, were chosen by a panel of 50 industry experts, and assessed by criteria of gameplay and fun-factor.

  • Avalanche 2: Super Avalanche (PC)
  • Badland (iOS)
  • Escape Goat 2 (PC)
  • Gunpoint (PC)
  • Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime (Mac, PC)
  • Owlboy (PC)
  • Ridiculous Fishing (iOS)
  • Rogue Legacy (PC)
  • Sokobond (Linux, Mac, PC)
  • TowerFall (Ouya, PC)

PAX Prime runs August 30 through September 2 in Seattle. It was the first of Penny Arcade’s three expo events.

    Owlboy, wow… I remember playing the demo for that yonks ago. And I thoroughly enjoyed it, too. Very fun. I hope this one is a success as it’s been too long since we’ve had a good, classic non-puzzle platformer. It’s just a shame that Pirates of New Horizons fell through, that was looking amaaaazing. :C

    Oh, yeah. Escape Goat is good, too. I keep forgetting about that for whatever reason, and it’s not fair to it, because it is good.
