Steam Wallet cards heading to India

Friday, 12th July 2013 12:03 GMT By Dave Cook

Steam’s Wallet system is headed to India, along with pre-paid cards.

MCV India reports that the cards, which allow those without a credit card or anyone who doesn’t want to register their card details with Steam the chance to make purchases, are being brought to India in conjunction with Cybergames India.

The exact denominations of cards is unknown at this time, but it’s possible they will launch at Rupee equivalents of $20 and $50 cards currently deployed in North America.

Cybergames has confirmed that India will receive the cards “soon”.

Thanks MCV.

I see you take your job as a toilet cleaner very seriously.

How is the pay? Can you even afford the PS4 when it releases? Time to flush alot more toilets i think.

I think this is a clever move, really. Console titles have been just announced as ridiculously expensive in certain locations, and now Valve is making a big deal of getting Steam cards to them.

I think Valve’s market is going to see some expansion over the coming months. Clever, clever, clever.
