Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey developer Red Thread Games has shown off gameplay from its Kickstarter-funded sequel to Dreamfall: The Longest Journey. The footage shows off raw gameplay set around futuristic Prague.

The game was discussed at PC and indie game expo Rezzed 2013 at the weekend, and the footage shows protagonist Zoë Castillo as she explores a futuristic Prague and befriends a confused robot.

Like previous Dreamfall games, Chapters is set across the parallel worlds of Arcadia and Stark, mixing up fantasy and sci-fi elements across both planes.

What do you think of the footage above? Let us know below.

Dreamfall Chapters is due for release November 2014.

Thanks RPS.

Heard that the devs are also looking forward to bring this to PS4. We need more games like this one. Hope Shadows of Eternals gets made.

Am I the only one that thinks this looks like a PS2 game in parts… not very attractive is it?

They are using Unity Engine and while it can do much better, this still looks decent. It is a long way to November 2014, a lot can get better.

@3, Unity… yeah that explains the look.

I don’t think it looks terrible anyway, just hoping it improves graphically as it looks quite bland.

I hear futuristic and come to expect Prey 2 style cities now :P.

It certainly does look like a PS2 game right now but of course, it will change for the better by November next year.

“Send robot on a suicide mission” or “spare robot’s life”. Are those the only options?

Well, while it ain’t the best in the world, It is much better than that and will hopefully get better. Also, the video isn’t really of good quality.
