Sony has increased its PS4 sales forecast following a strong showing at E3 2013. Executive Andrew House has cautioned that demand for the console could result in a shortage at some point.

The Wall Street Journal has reported that Sony has raised its internal PS4 sales projections in reaction to strong demand for the console.

Speaking with the paper, Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Andrew House warned that “demand may well outstrip supply.”

Meanwhile this interactive PS4 model lets you get a close look at the console and its many crevices.

All they need to do is churning out a load to retailers then store some close by if they run out

I would think that both will be in short supply come launch, currently most stores are allowed to take 3 times as many pre orders for PS4 vs Xbone so Sony must be confident that they can keep up with this pre order amount.
They will also both try to beat each other to launch so I would imagine even less will be available.

That was because you ordered from Zavvi wasn’t it? Nothing to do with wider stock shortages.

Agree – I think both will be in very short supply.

They will ship 2.1 million worldwide by end of 4 quarter. Microsoft will ship 5.3 million by the end of 4th quarter. . Due to ram shortages. Ddr3 easy to make and provide. Ddr5 hard to supplie

Times like this I’m happy to be a citizen of the Netherlands, where everyone is too high off their asses to pre-order anything. I’ll just show up the day of release, grab it from the shelf and stroke the box while gently reassuring it a spot under my tv the whole ride home.

    Ahhhhh… new console time..

Pre-ordered mine today. I’m confident it’ll be there for me on day one. Or all hell will break loose. But that’s not gonna happen, is it Sony? (shakes fist)
