I really love the premise of the game. And it took me until now to realise the title’s a pun. Damn I’m stupid.

Don’t feel bad, Grizzlycake. I myself was wondering “What a weird title…” until the the end of the trailer and realized the same.

All these big companies and corporate shills whining about rising development costs, and here you have a three man team bringing out a game. Indies are the future. It’s great that Sony, Nintendo and Steam are embracing that notion.

” rising development costs, and here you have a three man team bringing out a game.”

Because they are going extremely simple, where triple A will get more expensive as new hardware means more content which means bigger costs.

@5 but alot of time they are spending money on stuff that really doens’t add to the game. Specially when it comes to hiring voice talent. they can hire better writers for a friction of the cost spent on Voice actors. Also IMO the senior (top brass) gets waaaaay more money than they actually deserve.. And the other thing that is a huge waste is “authenticity”.. who the fuck .. gives a fuck if the tank am driving has “real” textures taken from an actual tank.

You pay 60$ you are paying for triple A which is the the top of the top. People want story which includes writers, voice acting, cinematics, cutscenes which are on different pipelines. People want games that are better graphically that costs more money, people want more dynamic physics, more content. All these things aren’t cheap. THere is difference between a 10$ game like this and a 60$ game like Battlefield series.

You may not care but others do. If I pay 60$, the game better have great visuals along with gameplay otherwise what’s the point?

Agreed.. but you are missing the point that I was trying to make.. that the devs have blown the budgets out of proportions by simply indulging into stuff that doesn’t add as much to the game.
Also a lot of people don’t really care about the over all story in some of the biggest AAA titles these days. COD is the prime example here. a significant number of it’s players don’t play the SP more than once.. and some never even touch the SP.

also Dark souls is a prime example of a game that looks like crap.. and still has a better story than MW3 and BF3 … So i think people need to rethink this whole trend where game are trying to be like movies.. and less like games.
