Company of Heroes 2 will go into open beta later today and run until June 18.

It features multiplayer mode on six of the game’s maps. The open beta will also allow gamers to test out the first 45 levels of the game’s progression and bulletin system.

Those who participate will get to retain all progression and unlocks earned during this period, if they purchase the game within the first 60 days of launch and play it on the same Steam account as the beta.

Company of Heroes 2 will be available for PC on June 25.

    Retained progression from open beta to retail version is strong incentive for people to dip into beta and jump in for retail if game has anything they like.

    @2 Yeah I don’t see how it’s open either.

    Why would you want a physical copy though?

    #3 physical copies have more sentimental feeling to it

    when you put it in your bookshelf (or gameshelf i should say)
    it’s feels like it’s there,like a good book will shine when you look at the shelf

    plus i always prefer to have an express installation (although it’s worthless without the activastion code)
