Deus Ex Machina 2 heads to Kickstarter

Monday, 20th May 2013 16:23 GMT By Sherif Saed

One of Deus Ex Machina’s original developers is taking a sequel to Kickstarter, and is claiming to have Christopher Lee on board.

Mel Croucher, who designed and wrote the music for the original, is working on the sequel and is asking for £64,000 in funding.

According to the game’s Kickstarter page, it is to be narrated by Sir Christopher Lee and will be built using the Unity engine.

You might not remember Deus Ex Machina, but it was released in 1984 for the ZX Spectrum before later coming to Commodore 64.

The game was an interactive movie with fully synchronised soundtrack and narration.

It looks like today is a good day for reincarnations of older games: this morning there was a rumour that Syndicate might be getting a Kickstarter successor.
