Final Fantasy X-2 HD could include ‘Last Mission’ epilogue, Square currently undecided

Final Fantasy X-2 HD developer Square-Enix is toying with the idea of including ‘Last Mission’ an epilogue chapter set after the game’s ending. It was never released outside of Japan, but it may finally hit Western shores as part of the re-pack.

Joystiq reports – via Famitsu – that the publisher is still unsure if it wants to include the content in the Western edition, as it was previously only available as part of the Japan-only ‘International Version.’ at launch.

You could argue that excluding content in some territories belies the name ‘International Edition’, but that’s a whole other argument. Would you like to see the content brought over here? Let us know below.

Why are they even debating it? Why shouldn’t they include it? A lot of sources are already claiming that the game will come with the international content. Including the official PlayStation blog. So it may backfire on them if they choose not to include it now.

Probably trying to decide whether or not to make it DLC.

I’d imagine that they’d have to either record english VO for it, or use Japanese VO.

Ah, the game everyone rightfully abhorred a decade ago is now touted as some great entry into the series. No further proof of how low the standards of quality have fallen over the past ten years is needed. When games like this are treated like they’re good things, I think it says a lot about the “legitimacy” of high praise to reboots and spinoffs of other once great franchises.
