Star Wars: The Old Republic’s Cathar to become playable – rumour

Thursday, 25th April 2013 11:34 GMT By Dave Cook

Star Wars: The Old Republic developer could be gearing up to announce that the galaxy’s resident feline race – the Cathar – will become playable. Either way it’s teasing something cat-related.

PCGamesN reports that BioWare’s Facebook page was plastered with the above image, which bears resemblance to Cathar NPCs found loitering the MMOs world. Natural assumptions would suggest that the race is about to become playable, but we’ve eaten a salt sandwich and we’re treating this as rumour for now.

The sandwich was rank by the way.

Would you like to see the Cathar playable? let us know below.

Well they confirmed that the Cathar were always going to be the first playable race post launch, and that it would be something sold in the cartel store.

They just never gave the release date for them, so if I had to guess this is gearing up for the announcement since the expansion is out and behind them now.

Playing the expansion at the moment, very much more of the same. However, I think it’s about time they introduced things like achievements and rep but it feels a little too late for me.

I’ll probably finish the extra content and put it back on time out.

I got this game at launch and really liked but found it was missing a lot. Came back for the expansion and I’m loving all the changes made. IMHO this is one of the best mmorpgs out.
