Shovel Knight pulls in almost four times its goal

The major crowdfunding campaign for Shovel Knight closed this weekend, with a grand total of $311,502 - more than four times the asking goal of $75,000 and enough to cover every stretch goal.

Although the Kickstarter has ended, PayPal support will continue through April.

Shovel Knight is an 8-bit styled sidescrolling adventure from Yacht Club, a group of former Wayforward staffers.

The developer is pushing to get the platformer included in the next Steam Greenlight intake.

Expect Shovel Knight on PC in September, with 3DS, Wii U and other platforms to follow at a later date.
