Assassin’s Creed event announced by Ubisoft

Tuesday, 19th February 2013 15:11 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Ubisoft is holding an Assassin’s Creed event of some sort at the end of the month, according to MCV.

Over on OXM, which received an invite along with VG247 – the site is wondering whether it’s the reveal of new DLC or the first bit of information on Assassin’s Creed 4.

OXM has heard that Brazil is a possibility for the next game’s setting, but nothing of the sort has been made concrete by Ubisoft.

Earlier this month, company CEO Yves Guillemot told investors that during FY14, and “all-new Assassin’s Creed hero, within an all new team and time period,” will be introduced. He also said the game will be “another major leap forward for the franchise.”

The Assassin’s Creed event takes place on February 27.

It is not new DLC. All DLCs for AC3 are announced so it is about new AC game.

If they are going to show this to press, it’s not gonna be on next-gen tech. I bet they will shit out one more AC game before coming with a next-gen one…sigh.

@4 Supposedly when they were building 3 they expected the next gen consoles to already be out, so I doubt they’ll try and force it on only this gen. Probably a 2/27 reveal so they can show it on the next-gen consoles.

Well previous experiences tell me #4 is right but I hope that’s wrong and they leave this one in the oven to cook a little longer than usual.

Ubisoft will not have money if it’s released this year or the next, the series need to rest. 3 proved that to me.

That’s possible yeah, in this case they could be showing it on PS4, since it’s getting its reveal tomorrow.

Hopefully we get at least one more game with Connor. He was a pretty cool character, and it’s annoying to see him get undue hatred basically for not being Ezio. Best guess if it is a new game is that it takes place during the French Revolution, though I would have liked to see more done with the American Revolution and Native American culture and treatment than what AC3 ultimately did.
