    I think it’s Vita that’s in need of a price cut. Seriously, are we just gonna pretend Vita doesn’t exist anymore? It’s a decent handheld and with proper software support can do more than 3DS or iPhone.

    It’ll be some funny shit if wednesday is all about a PS3/Vita pricecut, and nothing about PS4. Can’t see that happening though, but it could happen.

    Vita does not need a price cut, its the stupid memory cards that need a price cut. Or at least they should include an 8GB memory card with EVERY Vita sold and discontinue the 4GB model all together. Then drop the price of the other larger memory cards. They should of let people use their own SD cards, heck microSD cards are even better now and come in sizes upto 64GB soon to be 128GB with new batches and are cheap as chips compared to Sony’s own cards.

    Also, get some new IP out, some top notch triple A games out for it. Open the SDK up and offer a limited version for FREE for indie developers to make low cost (maybe even FREE) apps and games for the system!!

    Its a handheld console and it has no games worth playing, unless you want to shell out £40 on an Uncharted game that lasts three to four hours and thats being generous as my friend beat that game in two and half hours.

    Get a GT version on their, get devs wanting to make games for it. And show the smartphone and tablet market that they are the little childrens toy and you device is where the real games are at.

    Also, the PS3 price cut should of come a long time ago. The unit should be dropping from £199.99 to £149.99 the unit costs them nothing to make by now, same with the 360. The hardware is so old and they order in massive sizes so it shouldn’t cost much for them. And if PS4 gets a release date of September/October this year then this price cut is faaaar too late.

    If true this is good for all the folks concerned with backward compatibility.

    @1 Completely agreed.

    It’s PS4. If it wasn’t about PS4 I have a feeling they would have said something by now. At this point after all the hype anything other than PS4 would sink like a stone.

    Vita does need to be cut by about $100, though, before it’ll start selling.

    If PS3 gets a price cut, so will the Vita! Then the sales will SKYROCKET, and I’ll get a Vita myself :). But of course….this is all just wishful thinking :(

    I don’t think the PS3 will get one, the VITA will though. I hope so , for its own sake . Meanwhile I’m enjoying my VITA and a 16GB memory card and PS PLUS. A nice thing digital games and game saves from physical games work together as opposed to PS3 games.

    i rather they price cut the VITA

    the PS3 with 500 GIG and a year full of PS+ for 300$ is more then fair to any gamer of any sort

    the vita however is expansive as fuck because the memory cards cost a LOT

    they don’t even have to price cut the machine, only the memory cards
