Kongregate invests $10 million in mobile gaming

Gaming web portal Kongregate has put aside $10 million to fund independent mobile games.

Develop reports Former Zynga general manager Panayoti ‘Pany’ Haritatos has been hired to lead the new mobile division.

Kongregate will distribute and market the games, and offer financial aid and consultation to its developers.

Thanks to Kongregate's relationship with parent company GameStop, the new mobile games will be featured in its mobile apps as well as in-store.

The program is open to applicants, so if you just happen to have a mobile game up your sleeve, get on board.
