PlanetSide 2: triple Station Cash event on Friday

PlanetSide 2 normally asks that you buy in-game Station Cash to fuel your experience, but the generous types at Sony Online Entertainment are tripling your wonga on Friday only. Their plan? To ride off into the sunset with your riches before the world ends. True story.

PCGamesN reports that SOE boss John Smedley announced the promotion on Twitter, stating "Yes it's true. Triple Station Cash next Friday. We hid that real well didn't we?

“Our master plan is to take your money the day before the world ends. That's how we roll. We're spending it on booze for our end of the world party. You're invited.”

The words of a legend or of a maniacal villain? You decide.

There's no catch other than having to buy your Station Cash either in-game or via SOE pre-paid cards. The phone-enabled SMS option won't work with the promotion. To be eligible, simply buy your cash between 12:01am PDT and 11:59pm PDT on Friday the 21st.
