Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D gets Japan eShop release

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D is going digital in Japan. Capcom is releasing its expanded horde mode via the 3DS eShop, alongside a budget re-release at retail. Get the details below.

Released in Japan as 'Biohazard: The Mercenaries 3D', the game will relaunch physically across the country from December 13th and will hit the 3DS eShop from December 27th. THe re-release allows users to wipe their save and start over - a feature that was confusingly absent from the original build.

The original Japanese release also featured a demo of Resident Evil: Revelations that will not be included in the re-pack or download edition.

No Western dates have been confirmed.
