Shame it’s not openworld like Batman 2, that would of been insanely epic, exploring the lands from the shire all the way to the to volcano.. My god, hopefully the sequal.

#1 It isn’t? I quote Eurogamer:
“Despite being a somewhat shrunken version of Tolkien’s world, where landmark locations are visible in the near distance at all times, the sense of scale is impressive. You can walk, run or ride to and from anywhere you like, trekking from the Black Gates all the way back to Bag End if you choose. It’s not a journey that will take a distractingly long time – this definitely isn’t Skyrim – but it feels like an epic undertaking all the same.”

@2
Holy hell, I’ll be so there if that’s true. Lego Batman 2′s huge city was uber awesome, specially with lots of unlocked characters. As a (newly) fan of LOTR movies, this could become an instant purchase for me.

@3 Same here. I’ll wait for few more reviews, but if it’s true, I’m in.
Shame that VITA version got a 3ds port…again… I was really hoping to play in on the go. PS3 version will do.
