Borderlands Legends for iOS releasing on Halloween
Borderlands Legends, which was leaked yesterday a bit early due to an advert revealing several key features, has been announced for release on iOS at the end of the month.

The game will be made available iPhone for $5 and on iPad for $7. Entertainment Weekly has a preview on the mobile title here.
The leaked advert, found by IGN, states that players will be able to control Brick, Roland, Mordecai and Lilith as they face off against waves of enemies.
It also has randomised missions, 36 unique powers, a cover system and ‘Fight For Your Life’ mode. There are XP rewards, levelling and of course a shit-ton of weapons.
The game will be available on the App Store October 31.
Check out the advert here:

Thanks GAF.

Anytime a videogame has a cover system it should be under the cons, e.g.: ‘Unfortunately, this game runs at 30 fps and has a cover system’.

@1 Why? Its just a mechanic. Perhaps arguably overused but the same could be said about any game mechanic.
Anyway I’m not really into these iOS games, since I’ve only got an iPhone and no iPad, their almost impossible to play. Don’t stop me repetitively buying and trying to though. Damn consumerism.

Because the games now basically have a hide behind the wall button, in addition to jump over one.
You press a button, character hides, you press another one they perform ‘platforming’..
Before those, you had to do everything yourself.

Not the biggest fan but I think Killzone nails that mechanic. The thing about FPS like CoD is they lack immersion- they try to be as realistic as possible(scoffs) but they simply don’t run around like crazy monkeys in a pattern, they do use cover, they do use buildings & they don’t magically gain perks during a fight.

Why not do it yourself? it’s not like there’s anything to it you can’t perform using directional controls and crouch.

Shame it doesn’t mention co-op… Though more games like this & the whole “ios gaming isn’t *real* gaming” debate will be shown up for how daft it is.
