Resident Evil 6 pre-orders numbers in Japan released by Media Create

Resident Evil 6 pre-orders hit 380,000 in Japan, according to Media Create figures, besting the previous pre-order record holder in the series, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.

Operation Raccoon City pre-orders hit 118,000 and the game went on to sell 268,810 during its first week on PS3 and Xbox 360 combined.

Media Create also noted that Resident Evil 5 has sold 1.2 million copies on all formats in Japan since it launched in 2009.

Resident Evil 6 sold 676,585 units combined in its first week at retail in the region.

@1 Yeah, it had the largest pre-orders in the franchise history – beating the record set in 2005 which was Resident Evil 4.

I liked raccoon city and the only downer was some of the over-powered powers which some characters had
