The blog post can also confirm that God of War: Ascension will receive two special editions at launch.

First up is the Collector’s Edition, which comes with an 8″ Kratos figurine. The game comes packed in a steel book case, along with an official soundtrack download token, a PS3 dynamic theme and avatar pack.

Gamers going for this version will also receive a double XP bonus for multiplayer and a free DLC season pass for all future add-on content.

Alternatively, the Special Edition comes in a premium steel book game case, has a digital download soundtrack token, PS3 dynamic theme and avatar pack, as well as the multiplayer double XP bonus unlock.

Which version will you go for, or is standard enough?

@1 you won’t carry anything to your grave but your deeds. the thins is, i have never seen any special edition of any game that is worth spending my hard earned money on. the game is all that matters.

#1 theres people that like to collect, we gamers tend to collect games, we buy more games than we play, in the end we dont carry them to our grave, we just have the good time while we played them, the same with those replicas or statues, and besides you never known if your relatives will make a good sum of money with this, long before you pass away, so is not that crazy after all, there is a market for this things, collectors and the like, is not that bad investment in the long run.

keep telling yourself that you collect this games and play them.

you are lying to yourself because you can’t play a game you bought ages ago like Metal Gear Solid. Expecting to play it again, when MGS4 trophy came out, MGOnline or MGS Zero coming out.

no one has time to go back. If you do want to go back and play those games, therefore you would sacrifice your time to miss out playing new released games. SO it’s a lost on both sides.

Sometimes I would feel like playing Emulators and crave for them. I play one of them for a few hours and my craving disappears as I focus on other games.

Only way to go back and play old games in conjunction with new release games means you will have no job and you would just play games 24/7.
