Guild Wars 2 pre-orders hit one million, 400K concurrent players logged-in over the weekend
Guild Wars 2 pre-orders hit one million according to an announcement from ArenNet, and over the early launch weekend, concurrent player numbers hit more over 400,000. “This is the culmination of a five-year journey and to be greeted by this level of enthusiasm by our fans is truly amazing,” said Mike O’Brien, president and co-founder of ArenaNet. “But really our work is just beginning. Now our focus is shifting to building on this living world we’ve delivered, continuously refining our game and improving services to ensure our players have the best possible experience”. Guild Wars 2 officially launches today for everyone who did not pre-order or pre-purchase.

@1 Dead as it gets. PC gaming has never ever had a chance to beat the consoles. Consoles are my law and my god, nothing can beat 7 year old hardware closed down more than a prison cell to their customer. PC gaming was bound to die, with Steam and its mods and open platform. Nothing good can come out of it, ever! *LOL*
