Recently revealed at gamescom 2012, Dontnod’s game looks set to have a long future alongside its publishing partner.

Remember Me is an action-adventure game based around the exploits of Nilin, a female protagonist that must restore her forgotten memories. It originally debuted as a Sony exclusive at gamescom 2011 under the name Adrift. Since then, Capcom picked up the rights, and have been suitably impressed with how the game is progressing.

“When Dontnod showed us their content it really jumped out,” said Capcom’s US and Europe marketing chief Michael Pattison.

“And we couldn’t not work with them. It is to a view that this will be a long-term partnership with them. This is Capcom’s IP. We do intend to work on it for a long time to come.”

“It is something that we see as having a long-term future, and we are investing in accordingly.”

From being dropped to securing a prosperous future, Remember Me has had a hell of a year. The game is set to arrive on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in May 2013. For now, check out the trailer from gamescom 2012.

Thanks, MCV.

What happens when the developers of this game create a well rounded ending that ties up much of the lose ends? What if they don’t want to make another title in the series right after producing this one?

What if I can’t even be bothered thinking about playing the first title in the series because I know that its going to lead straight into another title and thus all possible dangers that the prtoagonist might go through are rendered null?

I don’t really know. The dialogue is cheasy as hell and the running, platforming and fighting looked a bit arcady to me.
