3DS exclusive Monster Hunter 4 is over halfway finished, so if you really can’t wait to batter some wildlife, you shouldn’t have too much longer to wait.

Famitsu reports that Monster Hunter 4 series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto can confirm the game is currently 60% complete.

The producer also explained that it makes him feel happy whenever he sees people making friends over Monster Hunter multiplayer. Aww.

Monster Hunter 4 is due exclusively on 3DS in spring 2013.

Thanks Andriasang.

I can’t believe Sony haven’t secured it for Vita. Are they hoping it will sell all by itself?

Maybe Capcom had a better deal in place from Nintendo than Sony?

The production costs are much higher on the Vita. They need to make better textures, high polygon models and better animations. It will simply take more time and money to build a MH4 title on the Vita powerhouse than on a somewhat limited 3DS. Capcom also faces a much higher installbase, so they make shure it will sell welll from the getgo. With lesser production costs than on the Vita they are also profitable with less units sold, ergo have higher earnings. Thats how I see it.
