Talking bollocks: Tuesday, July 17 – blather on about whatever you like
Sometimes it’s nice to spew into the void with no topic attached. Please do so below.
We’ve stolen this idea from Kotaku and the Guardian, but the notion of there being anything original left on the internet is as stale as Tutankhamen’s after-life loaf, so whatever. Talk about whatever you like in the comments down there. If you use this, we’ll do it every day. If you don’t, we won’t. Feel our experimental powers.

@1 I am. I plan to watch as much of it as possible. Until I am sick to the back teeth in fact.
In other news, happy birthday to me. AS a gift to myself I downloaded the Napalm DLC for Toy Soldiers Cold War. What a waste of 400 MS points. I should have gone to the pub as planned. So what should I spend my £50 Amazon voucher on?

I like watching marathon runners doing actual harm to their bodies and almost falling apart on screen.

July 27th I think. Also looking forward to the 100 metres, strange how one of the most anticipated events lasts under 10 seconds.
Some of the football is being held in Glasgow and I think there’s still plenty of tickets. Cycling would be fun too.

I think BBC just added something like 24 HD channels to Sky especially for the ‘Limpics’ and ESPN are providing 12 hours of 3D coverage each day, with 8 hours being live and 4 being recapped stuff.

I would be if they included more combat/grappling sports. Bit sick of all the track and field stuff personally.

As a Celtic sympathizer, I somehow like the decision. But yeah, it sucks for Scottish football. At least they try to regulate and punish club spending (you could learn from that, Spain!).
Anyway: Did anyone watch the Breaking Bad premier on Sunday/Monday?

Well, last night it was about 45 degrees C where I live.
The interior walls in my house are hot to the touch.
The hottest I remember it was 49, I think. That was last year.
What’s the weather like where you are?

The sun is shining here which means I’ll be nipping into town to buy my lunch and pick up a jockstrap in a local sports shop. Don’t ask…
What’s the weather like in your neck of the woods and what do you plan to have for lunch today?

Who cares about Olympics? I for one see nothing entertaining more than Football>Wrestling>Taekwondo and maybe some artistics/rhytmics the rest are unimportant to me. So, meh, I only care about football.
Pat let’s have topics, like in Massively.com there’s a Daily Grind thing going on which someone introduces a daily topic and people discuss
, this can be our weekly thing.

Olympics – I’m pretty much viewing it as an extra tournament on the Tennis calendar. Anyone but Rafa.
Breaking Bad, me and the gf are only a few eps into Season 2, we are very late to the party

@11, 17, 34 Watched S05E01 of Breaking Bad online last night. I’m from germany, so I couldn’t watch it live on TV
I love this series and much as I want to see it end with a BANG, it still sucks that this is the last season of it…
Bryan Cranston is such a badass, I hope we will get to see him play that kind of character in many films and series after this one ends. Maybe the villain in ‘Total Recall’ is a good start

I’ve got Breaking Bad season 1 on DVD, never got round to watching it though, need a few TV shows to watch during summer. Is Falling Skies any good?
Edit: The Newsroom is amazing. Sorkin is a writing God.

Is this a response to the fact that most news items only seem to get one or no comments these days ?
I realise sites like this must be suffering from the lack of ‘real’ news caused by the lack of games due to the console cycle and the usual summer slump and no mid-range games any more due to big budget triple A games steamrollering the opposition and everyone buggering off on their phones and losing interest in consoles.
Are figures down Pat ?
Please don’t go under, I’ll only have twitter left

@47 Figures are up! Just thought it’d be nice for people to have a talk about whatever. I’ve seen it works really well elsewhere. Didn’t plan it at all. Just popped into my head.
But yeah, it’s not very newsy at the moment. This year’s pretty tough in terms of actually content, to be honest. It’s the gap year. Next year will have sod all games, but at least we’ll all be talking about next gen, so there’ll be a lot of interest.
